I hate to give this a three star, I will explain. I have been purchasing this ring bologna for a couple of years…my local stor carries it. If you get a ring even remotely close to the expiration date, it’s got a horrible twang to it. I just threw out my 2nd ring today. But, if you can get it with a much longer sell by date, it’s delicious! I hate throwing it out but I know ring bologna and it’s not easy on the pallet.
Buyer beware of the sell by date!

I ordered Frick’s ring bologna a few days ago and, to their credit, it arrived fast and was well packaged. But that’s about where the good news ends.
What a letdown. Each “ring” is only 16 ounces — barely a third of the size I grew up with in Pennsylvania. For the price they’re charging, you’d expect a full-sized ring, not something that looks like a sample pack. The markup on these things is ridiculous.
I bought them to make pickled hot bologna. Ring bologna is impossible to find down here in Charleston, SC, but with how tiny these are, I’ll be lucky to get 3 pieces out of each package. That’s mind-blowing for the $70 I paid.
In short — great delivery, good packaging, terrible value.

I love this ring bologna! I haven’t had it since I grew up outside of Chicago 50 years ago. It taste just like I remember, really good!
I would recommend it to anyone.

Really cannot give any rating as there is nothing below 0…absolutely not worth eating. Just bought a 24 oz (1.5 LB) $7.48 at our local Harps store thinking we would have some good bologna with cheese and crackers..needless to say we just had cheese and crackers!! Certainly won’t be buying Fricks bologna again!!!
