Your braunsweiger is the best, thank you for having it available online. All of the local brands here in Texas include milk products and other extra ingredients. Your ingredients are simple, and your braunsweiger tastes so much like the liverwurst my grandmother used to make!

As a kid, I would go with my Grandfather to Helmbold’s in Troy, NY. Their hot dogs were legendary and are still served locally at a handful of places and also down in NYC. Initially I didn’t appreciate their liverworst. I remember my grandfather taking a number and then letting others go ahead of him until Nick was available, and then he’d go through a long order which included hand sliced liverworst. Nick was the only one who could slice the liverworst properly, in my grandfather’s opinion. Somehow I acquired a taste for Helmbold’s liverworst, and then the family sold the business. After that I fell back on Kahn’s, but now that’s gone too! Frick’s is a little sharper and more firm than Kahn’s, smoother and less toothsome than Helmbolds, but an excellent braunschweiger! In these bland times, I challenge you to find a better liverworst!

Polish/Irish raised in the 60’s in New England. Grew to appreciate great liverwurst and braunschweiger. .Hummels Inc was always the go to brand. You’re product is as good and maybe better. Thank you.

To my sorrow, Walt’s Foods of Homewood, IL has been sold; the new owner does not carry your braunschweiger. Are there other stores in the Chicagoland area that carry your fine product? Thank you!
