Judy Reeser –
I love this s ham but I am unable to consume the entire package before the 5 days are up. I rinsed the ham off (though it was not slimmy) then I microwaved for a few minutes. Ham tasted fine. I hope it was ok to consume. Please advise.
Fricks Quality Meats –
That’s a great question and one we get often. Unfortunately, once the meat is exposed to air and the home kitchen environment, the risk of spoilage due to germs and rancidity increases and occurs much more quickly. Some spoilage cannot be detected by sight or smell, and because we simply don’t know what spoilage is present in individual packages after opening, we must play it safe and cannot recommend keeping our meat – or any other deli meat – for more than a week after the initial vacuum seal has been broken.
Barbara Walsh –
I cannot find the expiration date on the meat, therefore makes me wonder if I should buy it. Where is the date?
Mady Aholt –
We are sorry you’re having trouble finding the expiration date on our sliced ham. The expiration date can be found to the left of the “Sliced Ham” text on our label. If you are still unable to find the logo, please send us an email at hello@frickmeats.com and we’d be happy to help you further!

Best tasting, most filling, healthiest, lowest calorie food you can eat.
Kim Carson –
This used to be such a great product but here lately every slice has hard, tough to chew spots in it. I have to cut out a large portion of each piece before I can even eat it. Quality control has gone downhill which is a shame because it really was the best ham in the store.
Mady Aholt –
We’re sorry to hear that was your experience with our sliced ham – it should not have been. In order to best determine what happened, we’ll need more information. Please email us at hello@frickmeats.com so someone from our quality team can address this. If you have it, we’d like to know the USE/FRZ by date on the ham, as well as how the ham was stored.
