Preparation Instructions

On the Stovetop

Place ham steak in skillet or griddle on medium heat until heated through. Time may vary, but this usually takes approximately two minutes per side.

In the Microwave

Place ham steak on a microwave-safe plate, cover with paper towel, cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending on microwave power.

On the Grill

Place ham steak over white ash charcoal fire or medium high gas grill setting, turn frequently, and cook until heated through.

    I have been buying the ham steaks for years. It is like a staple I pick up at the store and have 3 or 4 times in a month. It is the best ever. It is tender and lean and delicious. We have it at dinner or breakfast and makes a great sandwich too! Thank you!

    Something’s happened in the last few week. The ham is now bland and not flavored at all. What has changed????

    I can’t buy it anymore. I was hoping it was a bad batch but, this is the 3rd week and I may just eat cardboard and it would have more flavor.

      We’re sorry to hear you are not experiencing the same great flavor you used to from our ham steaks! This should not be the case; we have not changed our recipe or process. Even over a three week span, it is possible that all ham steaks at the store came from the same batch, but to investigate further we would need to know the USE/FRZ by dates on the packages. If you would be willing to email us at hello@frickmeats.com, we would love to get more information if we can.     Years ago, I stopped buying “factory meat”. Major meat companies who are surely more interested
    In profits over quality and animal disregard.

    Fortunately, I found Frick ham steaks and it is a high quality, US based farm
    More interested in a great product offered at a fair price.
